Burnt Store Isles (BSI) combines the luxury of gorgeous canal views with the fun of living around a golf course. In the center of this deed-restricted community sits Twin Isles Country Club. While the club is optional to join, many residents delight in docking their boat outside their back door before stepping out their front door for a round of 18 holes.
Punta Gorda’s Canal Maintenance program maintains the canals and seawalls for property owners. The canals lead to Alligator Creek which leads out into Charlotte Harbor.
Smaller than Punta Gorda Isles, Burnt Store Isles contains about 1,000 waterfront properties and 400 golf course properties. Residences include single-family homes, condos, and villas. There are some vacant lots still available. Home styles range from modern Florida-styles to modest bungalows to upscale, Mediterranean styles.
Homebuyers have several opportunities to get involved in the BSI community:
Burnt Store Isles Association (BSIA): Membership to the property owners association, the BSIA, is voluntary. Like most BSI residents, the association takes great pride in the area and works to continually maintain and improve the Burnt Store Isles landscape and social appeal.
Burnt Stores Isles Boat Club (BSIBC): For over 25 years, the BSIBC has welcomed all Burnt Store Isles residents, regardless of whether or not they are current boat owners. The club promotes safe and fun boating around the Charlotte County waterways. Members enjoy lunch and dinner cruises, visits to local marinas, picnics at island beaches, and overnight cruises.
Twin Isles Country Club: Twin Isles Country Club is a private golf, tennis, and social club in the heart of Burnt Store Isles. Members can take advantage of the entire club with a full membership or simply join for one area of interest, such as golf or tennis. Renovated by a leading Florida golf architect in 2000, the 18 hole, par 72 course has four sets of tees with yardage ranging from 5300 to 6700. Over on the tennis courts, players participate in group clinics, social matches, professional private and group lessons, and special tournaments.
